BELIEFS
God
We believe in one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe God the Father Almighty is the Creator of all things visible and invisible, who reigns as King over all creation for His own glory.
We believe God is eternal (always was, always is, and always will be), omnipresent (ever present), omnipotent (all-powerful), and omniscient (all-knowing).
We believe He is perfect in love, justice and holiness and worthy of all glory, honor, and praise.
We believe He created us in His image, deeply loves us and desires for us to have a relationship with Him.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, fully man and fully divine, the only Savior of the World, the visible image of the invisible God, and was with God at the Creation of the world.
We believe He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, lived a completely sinless life, and then voluntarily died on a cross as the atoning sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins for all mankind.
We believe He died, was buried, and on the third day was bodily raised from the dead, defeating death, paving the way for every human to have salvation.
We believe He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, acting as an intermediary on our behalf.
We believe He will one day return to the earth and initiate the consummation of human history.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third part of the Trinity – God’s Spirit.
We believe His indwelling presence is given at salvation and is active in the daily lives of Christians as our helper.
We believe He helps Christians live a Christ-like life, convicts us of sin, comforts and intercedes for believers.
We believe He grants gifts to Christians for the purpose of serving His Church – in worship, in evangelism, and in service.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is absolute in its authority, complete in its content, and our guiding light for all that we say and do.
We believe that the Bible is the infallible (without error) Word of God written by human hands through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to give us the complete truth of salvation and God’s redemption of mankind.
We believe the Bible is the primary mechanism used by the Holy Spirit to teach us today.

Scripture References: Psalm 119:105; Isaiah 40:8; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
Sin
We believe that every human being has the problem of sin, which began with Adam’s rebellion against God, that eternally separates us from God.
We believe that while every human’s greatest need and greatest desire is to be in a relationship with God, we are hopeless to solve our sin problem apart from Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.

Scripture References: Romans 3:23-26, 6:23, & 7:18
Salvation
We believe that the free gift of salvation, made available to us by the love and grace of God, comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
We believe that the gift of salvation, which cannot be earned by good works, comes by putting our trust in Jesus, repenting of sins, confessing our faith and being baptized into Him.
We believe that baptism, the immersion in water, symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is the outward expression of a heart committed to follow Jesus Christ.
We believe that salvation is the first step of faith in Jesus Christ, then for the remainder of their days on earth Christians should daily submit to the Holy Spirit’s intercession to become ever more Christ-like, serve others, share the good news of the Gospel, and be an active member in His Church.

The Church
We believe Christ is the head of the Church, which was founded on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of Christians everywhere and organized into local assemblies.
We believe the mission of the Church is for its individual members to fulfill the Great Commission, showing love in all circumstances to all people and reaching the spiritually lost for Jesus Christ.
We believe the Church should proclaim the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, be regularly united in prayer, and be relationship-based.
We believe Communion is both a remembrance and proclamation of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection, and ultimate victory. As such, Communion is made a priority whenever we come together as a focal point of worship and unity in the body of Christ.
We believe that just as immersed Christians are united with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, immersion unites Christians together and is the prerequisite for church membership.
